Applying for a Türkiye visa: the official route, checking eligibility and your support options
Provided they meet the required conditions, citizens of certain countries who are travelling to Türkiye for tourism or business can apply for their visa via the official portal. This page sets out the official application process in plain terms and explains what the Mark Turizm consultancy packages cover, for applicants who would like support in preparing their application.
Important: Using Mark Turizm consultancy is not compulsory. Applicants may apply on their own, directly via the official portal, without any consultancy service.
Before anything else: the basic distinction
The visa is not open to every country or every type of passport. Eligibility is checked in the official system, where the country/region, the type of travel document and the travel date are selected. Mark Turizm’s service is no substitute for the official portal; it is optional, paid support for applicants who would like to handle the preparation of their application in a more organised way.
Reason for travel
Official information states that the visa is used for tourist and business trips. Different visa procedures may be needed for work, education, medical treatment, research or long-term residence.

How does the official visa application usually work?
The following steps are given as general information. Final eligibility, the fee, how long the visa is valid and any additional conditions are all displayed on the official application screen.

Eligibility check
To find out whether they are eligible for a visa, the applicant chooses the country/region, the type of travel document and the travel date on the official portal.

Review of the official conditions
Based on the information selected, the official system displays the conditions that may apply. Some applicants may be subject to additional conditions, for example supporting documents or a valid visa or residence permit.

Entry of the application details
The official application form is filled in with the name and surname, date of birth, passport or travel document number and travel date. These details have to be exactly the same as in the passport. A photo is uploaded as part of the application too, and some applicants may be asked for supporting documents.

Completion of email verification
The email address entered during the application may receive a verification message from the official system. Should this step not be completed in time, the application may expire.

Payment of the official fee
If an official visa fee applies to that country and travel document type, as determined by the authorities, the amount appears during the application under the official system’s rules.

Download of the visa document
Once the application has been completed, a link for downloading the visa may be provided by the official system. Keeping the document with you in digital or printed form while travelling is recommended.
Which countries’ citizens can get a visa?
The list of eligible countries and the rules on visa exemption may be revised over time. One recent example of such a change is Presidential Decision No. 11172, published in the Official Gazette dated 17 April 2026 and numbered 33227, which grants Australian ordinary passport holders a visa exemption for tourism and transit.
This list is based on the countries named on the information page about visa-eligible countries on the official website. A country’s presence on the list does not mean an application is certain to be approved. Citizens of some countries may have to meet additional conditions, for instance a valid visa or residence permit, a supporting document, an age condition, a return ticket, a hotel booking, sufficient funds or other conditions. The final check must always be carried out on the official application screen.

Points to look at before you apply
Even a minor mistake in the information can become a serious problem while you are travelling. That is why it matters to check the points below before you start the application.
Passport data
What you enter in the application must be the same as what appears on the passport or travel document. The visa may become invalid because of an error in a letter, a date or a document number.
How long the passport is valid
How long the travel document must remain valid depends on the applicant’s nationality and the conditions of travel. Before you apply, the conditions displayed in the official system should be checked with care.
Reason for travel
The visa covers travel for tourism and business. Other application routes may be needed for work, education, medical treatment or a long-term stay.
A separate application for every traveller
Official information says that every traveller, children and infants included, needs a visa of their own. Applications for families and groups must meet the conditions the official system shows.
Photo, documents and further conditions
Both the photo uploaded with the application and any supporting documents that are requested have to be current, legible and compliant with the official requirements. Official fees and additional conditions can differ by country, type of travel document and the applicant’s circumstances; the official system displays the most accurate information during the application.
Entry not guaranteed
The visa is an important document for travel, but the authorised officers at the border may make the final assessment for entry into Türkiye.

The packages are distinguished by how thoroughly the application is checked, the priority given to the service, how far tracking goes, the amount of detail in the personalised Türkiye plan and the time taken to deliver. A preliminary check of the application photo, and of supporting documents where these are required, comes with every package.
To be clear: Consultancy is no guarantee of visa approval or of the right to enter Türkiye. The Fast and Express packages do not speed up the time official authorities take to decide; all they change is Mark Turizm’s service priority, the scope of checks, the level of support and how long the personalised Türkiye plan takes to prepare.
Where the authorities have fixed an official visa fee for the country and travel document type in question, that sum is displayed and taken as a separate payment from the package fee, so that the transaction can be carried out on the applicant’s behalf.

The package fee does not equal the total amount you pay. In the consultancy packages, the principal item is Mark Turizm’s service fee. Any official visa fee and any commission tied to the payment infrastructure are shown as separate items, where applicable. The cancellation and refund conditions are set out in Article 11 of the Service Agreement.

How are the fees kept separate?
Before making a payment, the applicant should see clearly which item the payment is for. The fee for a consultancy package is not the same as any visa fee the official authorities may set.
Charge for the consultancy service
For the Standard, Fast and Express packages, the principal item is the optional consultancy service fee charged by Mark Turizm.
Official visa fee (where one applies)
If the competent authorities have determined an official visa fee for the application concerned, that amount is displayed apart from the consultancy fee.
Virtual POS / bank commission
When you pay by card, a commission of roughly 5% may be incurred, depending on which bank and payment infrastructure are used. You can see the precise rate at the payment step.
Your total payment
Before approving the payment, the applicant needs to see the total amount: the consultancy service fee plus the official visa fee and any payment commission where these apply.
The limits of the consultancy service
- Mark Turizm gives no guarantee that a visa will be approved.
- Mark Turizm gives no guarantee of entry into Türkiye.
- Neither the Fast nor the Express package speeds up the decision period of the official authorities.
- The consultancy service does not take the place of the official system.
- Work, education, medical treatment, long-term residence or procedures that require a consular visa fall outside the scope of this visa.
- The consequences of information that is incorrect, incomplete or inconsistent with the passport are assessed under the rules of the official system.
- The consultancy packages affect nothing other than Mark Turizm’s internal service priority, the range of checks carried out and the level of detail in the Türkiye plan that is prepared.
- Any recommendation about restaurants, events, concerts, theatres, museums, transport or similar third-party services is given only as information; no guarantee is made as to tickets, reservations, availability, prices or the outcome of those services.
Questions we are often asked
Is this an official government portal?
No. This page is not a government portal, nor is it a substitute for the official portal. Its purpose is to explain the official route for applying and to show what Mark Turizm’s optional consultancy service covers.
Is Mark Turizm the one that issues the visa?
No. The visa is a travel document that the competent Turkish authorities issue in accordance with the official system’s rules. What Mark Turizm offers, at the applicant’s request, is a service of application preparation, information checking, tracking and delivery guidance.
Am I required to use the consultancy service?
No. It is your choice whether to use consultancy. Applicants can apply directly via the official portal without any consultancy service.
Does choosing Fast or Express bring the official result forward?
No. The Fast and Express packages concern nothing but Mark Turizm’s internal service priority, priority in responding, the scope of checks and how long the personalised Türkiye plan takes to prepare. They neither speed up the official decision process nor guarantee approval.
Is the visa fee part of the package fee?
No. Where the authorities have fixed an official visa fee for the country and travel document type concerned, that amount is shown apart from the consultancy package fee and is collected separately, so that the transaction can be carried out on the applicant’s behalf.
Can citizens from every country on this list get a visa automatically?
No. What the list gives is general information on eligibility. For citizens of some countries, additional documents, a valid visa or residence permit, an age condition, a return ticket, a hotel booking, sufficient funds or other conditions may apply. The final check has to take place on the official application screen.
